FERI starts the new year partnering with Werte-Stiftung: working together for democratic values
With the beginning of the new year we enter into a strategic partnership with the Werte-Stiftung to work together to strengthen liberal democratic values in education and society in the long term. Our commitment includes financial support and active involvement in new projects, particularly in schools. Among other things, we want to work together to develop formats that promote young people's understanding of democracy and offer them guidance on responsible behavior.
One focus of the collaboration is the further development of the school project “Werte (er)leben” (Experience Values), which teaches students basic democratic principles in a practical way. In addition, we are involved in initiatives for value-oriented innovations, including the “Hand-in-Hand @Start-up Land” agenda.
The partnership complements our existing cooperation with Futury, a former subsidiary of Werte-Stiftung. Futury is committed to value-based innovation and the establishment of a start-up factory in the Rhine-Main area. This connection creates a network that consistently brings together future topics, innovative strength, and social engagement.
For us, this cooperation is another building block in our responsibility toward society and education. It ties in with our broad commitment within the framework of FERI4Education. With this initiative, we promote high-quality education and sustainable development at local schools and universities – including specific formats for democracy education. Through our cooperation with Werte-Stiftung, we can further expand this commitment and provide even more targeted support to young people in living democratic values and actively shaping them.
